In the last century, we would talk about science fiction ... Now thanks to Google it became a reality view the entire earth in all the seams from home! Features are all more interesting than others:
.. View traffic of large cities
.. links millions of photos, videos and webcams from anywhere on the globe - this feature is simply amazing! You can zoom and move around within a photo.

.. consult a section of Wikipedia for a given city
.. a detailed map of a geographic area

.. view satellite images and 3D images: one can even find his house ;-)

And the ultimate is the Street View which allows you to move in some places with a panoramic view. And if that's not enough (you never know ;-) enable the many tools of Google Maps Labs (click on 'New').

short, I recommend that this site is a mild understatement.
