How to transfer a book on a Kindle?

Caliber is a great freeware and French that manages its digital library. After downloading a book on the Internet (preferably in. Mobi or possibly. Epub), follow these steps:

1) connect the Kindle with the included USB cable - launch Calibre
2) click Add Books - the location of the downloaded file (most formats are supported)
3) click on Edit and Retrieve metadata from metadata server - Change the cover image: get a blanket over the Internet (eg on the Amazon site) and browse / Crop - if no cover Generate coverage
4) select the file in the bookcase - click on Send to the reader - to accept the mobi format conversion if necessary - Wait until the current work is finished - when green check mark appears next to the book, the operation is finished (the book is on the Kindle).

Notes (i) to the original format. Txt, remove the automatic return to the line in Notepad, paste the text into OpenOffice and save the file . odt format.
(ii) for the original format. Pdf, it is preferable for ease of reading, to effect the conversion. Pdf. Mobi using Calibre.
(iii) can transfer books on the Kindle via directly from Windows Explorer. The Kindle appears as a disk with its records and files. A simple copy and paste the file in the Kindle / documents is required.
